PERSONAL WORK
This is my personal work. The world through my eyes. My world.
This arhive showcases the intimate moments in my life I've felt the urgency to capture due to my awareness that nothing is permanent. Every moment is fleeting and everyone is impermanent. Thus, to photograph a moment is to freeze it in time. To photograph someone is to make them eternal. This ability is my defense against the anxiety of forgetting and impermanence. “Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt” (Susan Sontag 1977). With space and time flattened into a frame, collecting life becomes feasible.
Ultimately, I photograph to collect life.
